Last Saturday i got a call from me mate Axim ask me to have an outing at Lake Garden, Taiping. It's my pleasure to share some of the photography technics i know. Actually one of his blogger friends Nikli in Penang,lol...actually his hometown not far from the one of my favorite places when i was kids for illegally "mandi-mandi" without permission from me parents...Sungai Kulim, such a memorable place.

Note : It's really nice place for spend our weekend and spare time here, the Zoo Taiping is the heart of this garden, about 2km we can enjoy with fresh waterfall and breating with fresh air whilst cicada make his songs.The forest songs.

There is a small little tiny warning to the smoker on the cigarette box, but am pretty sure the warning not really can "talk" to them, why not to put clear and big picture infront or on the back of the box, as what done in some countries. Just to give more awareness about their health and people surround them.

Don't some here, there and there, but look like the smokers not bother about. Hmmm...quite hard to deal with this matter, but i do hope one day will be better than today and so on.

The last time i came here was in 2002, me my brother and his two other friends was hiking from the Botanical Garden. Such a good experience. Lately my brother and his girl friend quite actively hiking Bukit Mertajam, maybe i will join them for next week excercise.

Finally its open back, after few months closed due to maintainance works, if not mistaken because of cable stuffs.

Last weekend my day so tiring, its all because this event, frankly speaking its to many to shoot, espacially if you like macro stuffs....he he. This is my 2nd time after my 1st time been to this event, that time this event was held at Gurney Drive, it was in 2001 if am not mistaken. I been there with my ex school mate, Rozaimi. That time hes still studying at UiTM Shah Alam, doing HotCat course....Kucing Panas kot..he he

I been there alone,sedihkan.... supposed my mate Rozaimi at here, but he had something to settle with his sister ar Teluk Kumbar, btw i don't mind anywhere alone, with my dslr anything will be fun outing........

Short holiday but it was really full with activities. I decided to visit me friends in Jerantut, at the same time Jalan-Jalan Makan Durian..he he..thanks Jira. Luckily Pp, Jira & Emma available to accompany me, just now I have a chance to see what Jerantut have. I been Jerantut many time but didn't have time to explore.

Last weekend, since am so bored at home,so decided to go and watch The Geng - Pengembaran Bermula. Its the 1st 3D animation made from Malaysia and for Malaysian for sure, as Malaysian i should support our own right?

Before the time due for cinema, i still have plenty of time since the time i want for is full house. Luckly at Sunway Carnival Mall they have a Allstarz Road Tour brought by Metadome. It's such good time had an outing with KakiLensa, for the 1st time i met all the members.Good to know you guys.What the most and important thing, am so lucky because without plan and thinking in mind can see that spider below (that time we just infront of old building at Gat Lebuh Light) . This spider was forced out from its place (under drainage cover) by the contractor fellas for some surveying works.Luckly that time i just ready with my macro lens. Its ladies as well, he he a ladybug lol. That what the most weekend i trying to do, to get the best stuffs. Last weekend i was under 2nd Penand bridged looking for something good, honestly what the most i like the shape and the structure of that bridge..civil civil and "saya civil" ha ha.....

There some bushes under that bridge, because quite windy the time i was there, this ladybug was blown out from its place......so this just pretty good for my day out. Just happy with this, event not so good....but i have to appreciated....and am looking for next day out, same place perhaps

That day was raining, so i spent most of my time at home, fortunately before the day gone completely, around 620pm accompanied with my anak menakan we heading to Mengkuang Dam, not to far from my place.

A deep long breathing and a little sigh as a starter for new entry.......huh seem i dont have pictures to share with, actually its so many pictures to share, just i need time to arrange those pictures to be posted here.

Since last November i been following few friends of mine to the weddings until now though, also am as official photographer on my lil sister on 5th Dec and 13rd Dec 08. Since the 1st assignment on wedding dated 30th Nov 08 i've been learning from my mates how to capture such pictures espacially on wedding,good opportunity huh...thanks to Kaki Lensa mates....i really appreciated it and enjoyed those official and unofficial TT session with u guys & looking for another TT as well.Till today am still learning ...wink wink....

Started from the wedding sessions, now am learning how to make a custom album, thanks to Arjuna & Mat Small River because teach me on the Photoshop.Before this i only know basic thingy on Photoshop and don't know how to manipulating those things.

Beside of that am learning more on macro and B&W mode,a sturdy tripod it's a must.....thanks God on some income am able to have the good one for me self...a Manfrotto...wink..wink...so i can low on the ground......a wishlist for next? am still thinking..actually a few running in my mind....he he

A wish for me?hmmm.... I do Hope and can reach my terget as what am desire for, though something happen without what am want for, the things happen must be something God want me to learn from it, am Reda with that.....event its hard but end the its must be something from it.

For me if we want something better we have to leave something perhaps, the road we have to choose only one when we at junction. A long the way on the road we will face with many kind of problems (ranjau kehidupan).

A yearly events in Penang, Pesta Pulau Pinang a must visit place because its only open at the rite time and at the right crowd, its because only open in December every year during end year of school holiday...he he...just a right time for some good time with friends or family actually.

This year i made a record after a long time i haven't go there, i been there 3 times in only 2 weeks time, the 1st two i been there with friends and the third time been there with my "anak menakan".

Today went to my ex primary school Sekolah Kebangsaan Mengkuang (just link some pictures of this school during PRU) what the purpose i go there then?

Actually to fetch my "anak menakan" @ nephews & nieces there,since they have some free time after school, why not to bring them to Mengkuang Dam. I will force them to be my model of the day he he

Gosh, when i arrived at school the kids voices just like "pasar pagi", all of them on the same time asked that uncle to that ice cream, this ice cream.....for sure you guys can imagine how the sound hear like....without wasting time i taken my camera....so see the result.

Creative Lighting Systems (CLS)

This is my 1st time I attended official DSLR course, understand many tools built in it now. Just what I have to do more try and error, from that I will learn more and make me understand more about my system.

ISO -Indoor Picture

[M, f/3.5, 1/30s] From left to right start with ISO 100 > ISO 400 > ISO 800 >ISO 1600

ISO - Outdoor Picture

[M, f/3.5, 1/30s] From left to right start with ISO 100 > ISO 200 > ISO 400 >ISO 800

The way to understand what is ISO for. Focal length, Exposure Time & Exposure Bias keep the same for different ISO.

Therefore with the increment of ISO values;
- More sensitivity to the light source
- Picture more noise and we will lost our detail
- Low ISO for the place with enough source of light (bright)
- High ISO for the place with less source of light (dark)

Shutter Speed

Focal length, ISO & Exposure Bias keep then same for different Shutter Speed.

[M, f/3.5, ISO 800] From left to right start with 1s > 1/10s > 1/100s > 1/1000s

[M, f/3.5, ISO 800] From left to right start with 1/640s > 1/1250s > 1/3200s > 1/4000s

[M, f/3.5, ISO 800] From left to right start with 1/40s > 1/80s > 1/160s

Aperture

Aperture is referred to the lens diaphragm opening inside a photographic lens. The size of the diaphragm opening in a camera lens REGULATES amount of light passes through onto the film inside the camera the moment when the shutter curtain in camera opens during an exposure process. The size of an aperture in a lens can either be a fixed or the most popular form in an adjustable type (like an DSLR camera). Aperture size is usually calibrated in f-numbers or f-stops.

For example and note
- With f/2, the main subject will be more sharp and its background become “blurr” or “bokeh” or “depth of field”
- For portrait the suitable aperture is between f/2.8 to f/8 and f/8 above suitable for landscape

Exposure Composition Value (EV)

With the Aperture mode, so it’s the time to play with EV value. Exposures have certain levels to get the exposure we want for our output. With this mode its really save our time as what we desire to get. In some cases, bright subject (such as snow) will turn darker than their natural colors. Adjusting toward + makes these subjects closer to their real shade. For the same reason, adjusting towards – when shooting dark subject. So this is the time to rumble with much stuff built in my DSLR
